How to delete your 1st Flock account and the data linked to it

Delete Your 1st Flock Account

This page explains how to delete your 1st Flock account and the data linked to it. It applies to the 1st Flock Mobile app on Android and iOS, published by 1st Flock, and to your account on the 1st Flock website. All of them use the same account.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open the 1st Flock Mobile app and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Review the list of what will be deleted. It includes any recurring gifts that will be cancelled.
  5. Type the confirmation phrase shown on the screen and confirm with your password.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Request deletion without the app

If you can't use the app, email support@1stflock.com from the email address on your account. Use the subject line "Delete my account". We will confirm the request with you and then delete your account and its data, as described below. If you can't send from that address, tell us and we will verify that the account is yours another way before deleting anything.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: name, email address, phone number, mailing address and profile photo
  • Your sign-in and login credentials
  • Your church memberships, group memberships and staff records
  • Your saved cards and bank accounts. They are also removed from our payment processor.
  • Your recurring gifts. Every active, paused or overdue recurring gift is cancelled, so no further charges are made.
  • Your app preferences and notification settings
  • Your support conversations, unless the law requires us to keep them (see below)

What is kept

  • Records of gifts you already made. The church that received a gift has to keep it for its financial records and year-end giving statements. These records stay with the church, but they are no longer linked to an account.
  • Records that belong to your church. Some records exist because you did something at your church, such as creating a fund, posting a journal entry or uploading a document. Your church keeps these, and they show "Deleted User" in place of your name.
  • Replies to other people's prayer requests. These stay with the request they answer, credited to "Deleted User".
  • Content under a legal hold. Some content is kept with your name removed because the law requires it, such as material under a child-safety review or legal process.

If you are the only administrator of a church

If you are the only administrator of a church on 1st Flock, deleting your account can also delete that church's workspace. The app shows you which churches are affected before you confirm. To keep the church's workspace, make someone else an administrator before you delete your account.
