Files
Upload, organize, and share documents and files with your church team
Files
The Files section provides cloud-based file storage and sharing for your church team. Keep important documents organized and accessible to those who need them.
File Browser
The Files section displays a hierarchical folder structure. Navigate folders by clicking on them. Breadcrumbs at the top show your current location. You can quickly return to the root by clicking "Files" in the breadcrumb trail.
Files are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 cloud storage, which is reliable and fast.
Uploading Files
Click "Upload" to add files to your current folder. You can:
- Select a single file from your computer
- Drag and drop files directly into the browser window
- Upload multiple files at once
Supported file types include documents (PDF, Word, Excel), images, audio, and video. File size limits apply—contact your administrator if you need to upload very large files.

Creating Folders
Organize your files by creating folders within the Files section. Click "New Folder," give it a descriptive name, and press Enter. You can create subfolders within any folder.
A common structure might be:
- Administration (board documents, policies)
- Ministries (small group materials, teaching notes)
- Operations (staff procedures, schedules)
- Communications (templates, graphics)
- Archives (past documents, historical records)
Renaming & Moving Files
Right-click on any file or folder to see options. You can rename files to keep them organized or move them to different folders by dragging and dropping them (in some browsers) or using the move option in the context menu.
Downloading Files
Click on a file to preview it (if supported) or download it to your computer. Large files may take a few moments to download depending on your internet speed.
Sharing Files
Grant access to files and folders by sharing them with specific team members or groups. Click the share icon next to a file or folder. You can:
- Grant view-only access (members can read but not edit)
- Grant edit access (members can make changes)
- Revoke access at any time
Shared members receive a notification that a file has been shared with them.
Deleting Files
To remove a file or folder, right-click and select "Delete." The action is permanent, so be certain before confirming. You cannot undo deletions. Archive important documents before deleting, or keep them in a locked folder.
Search & Filter
Use the search bar to find files and folders by name. You can search across your entire Files section even if you're viewing a subfolder—results show the file location.
File Permissions
By default, all staff can view and upload to the Files section. Your administrator can restrict permissions so only certain staff members can delete files or share with specific groups.
Next Steps: Create a folder structure for your church's key documents, or share a folder with a ministry team.
