Staff Management
Manage your church staff roster with positions, employment details, and emergency contacts
Staff Management
The Staff section maintains your church's employee roster. Track employment details, positions, compensation, and emergency contacts in one centralized location.
Adding Staff
You can add staff in two ways:
From Existing Members: Select a member from your database and promote them to staff. Their existing profile information is preserved, and you'll add employment-specific details.
Create New: If someone is on staff but not yet in your member database, create a new staff record directly. You'll enter their name, contact information, and employment details.
Staff Profile Details
Each staff member's profile includes:
- Personal Information: Name, email, phone, address, date of birth
- Employment: Position title, hire date, employment type (Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Volunteer)
- Compensation: Salary, pay frequency, benefits eligibility (Finance Admins only)
- Emergency Contact: Primary emergency contact with relationship and phone number
- Assigned Groups: Groups or ministries the staff member leads or participates in
- System Access: What features and data they can access in the app
Staff Positions
Define or customize position titles for your church. Common positions include Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Worship Leader, Children's Ministry Director, Office Manager, and others. You can add unlimited custom positions.
Employment Types
Distinguish between full-time employees, part-time staff, contract workers, and volunteers. This categorization helps organize your workforce and affects how employment information is displayed and reported.
Salary & Compensation (Finance Admins Only)
Finance administrators can view and edit salary information, pay frequency, and benefits details for each staff member. This information is kept separate from other staff details and only visible to those with financial access.
Managing Staff Access
Control what each staff member can do in the management app. You can restrict access to:
- Specific features (Events, Communications, Reports, etc.)
- Specific data (their own groups, their own events, or church-wide information)
- Sensitive operations (creating staff accounts, modifying billing)
Deactivating Staff
When a staff member leaves, mark them as Inactive rather than deleting their record. Inactive staff won't appear in active lists and won't receive communications, but their historical data remains for record-keeping.
Next Steps: Set up background checks for staff serving in sensitive roles, or configure staff access in the Admin Panel.
